Foam Pop In opening

Foam is opening at Museumplein Amsterdam.
On Thursday 12 May Foam Pop In opens at the Gabriël Metsustraat, off the Museumplein in Amsterdam.  In the former Fortisbank Foam hosts a temporary space where new work by photographers from the in-house gallery Foam Editions as well as work by emerging talents will be on show.

Participating artists until 7 August will be the following: Daniëlle van Ark, Kim Boske, Marnix Goossens, Elza Jo, Sanne Peper, Yvonne Lacet, Anne Schwalbe and Jaap Scheeren. Foam Pop In offers a selection of signed prints at attractive prices and a bookshop with inspirational magazines and books. Events, artist talks and presentations by the exhibiting photographers will take place every Friday at 19.00 hrs.

As well as programming over 22 exhibitions at the museum itself each year, Foam regularly organises activities that are not limited to the exhibition galleries at the Keizersgracht. Foam publishes Foam Magazine 4 times a year; there is an extensive educational programme that is taught both at schools as well as other locations; there is a project location in Amsterdam New West called West Side Stories; and Foam regularly produces exhibitions on location.

Foam Pop In provides Foam with a presence on the Museumplein and is not just a meeting place and source of inspiration for photography enthusiasts, photographers, photo editors, designers and others working in the industry, but also for local people, art and culture aficionados, tourists and general passersby. Foam Pop In offers you contemporary and high-quality photography, inspirational magazines and books, or just a cup of coffee.
